Cube

Cube:

Specs: With a 13.97 X 13.97 X 13.97 cm print bed the cube has some print size limitations but the printer is very small and compact in it’s plastic cover, which is available in a variety of colours (silver, white, magenta, blue and green).

The cube only has one extruder, unlike it’s siblings the cube X duo and trio. The cube prints at a resolution of 200 microns, which is slightly worse than most printers, (around 100 microns) this still prints reasonably good quality models. The quality is not changeable unlike the cube X family and the Makerbot Replicators 2 and 2X.

The cube can print in PLA and ABS, like most other printers. This is useful for different printing requirements. e.g. PLA is biodegradable so you could not use it outdoors, but with ABS, you could.

Features: The cube has WiFi so there is no need for a cable between the computer and the printer, it also means loading a file is quick. The cube also has a USB drive so it can be used to download prints directly from the USB memory stick, this can be a very efficient way of printing without using a computer.

The cube does not have a heated bed which can be a problem for large prints, as they can warp, but it is mostly OK, due to the relatively small print bed.

software:The software for the cube printer is not very flexible to use at all and it does not allow for you to change the height of the plastic layers and also the speed of the print cannot be tweaked and changed.
